VIKING Transfer Credit Estimator

The Viking Transfer Credit Estimator is our online transfer equivalency database for prospective students to know how current, previous, or anticipated college courses from another college or university could transfer to Elizabeth City State University.

To start your transfer credit evaluation, access the Viking Transfer Credit Estimator tool and simply choose an ECSU major, enter past colleges, courses, and exam credits. Keep in mind that this is an unofficial evaluation. We will make an official determination of transfer credit acceptance after you are accepted to ECSU and official transcripts for all of your previously completed coursework have been received.

Please Note: This database is dynamic; we are constantly updating the course equivalency data. If a course does not yet appear in our database, it does not mean ECSU will not accept it for transfer. It simply means the course has not previously been evaluated for transfer.

If you would like to request an evaluation of a course(s) not appearing in the database, simply send us an email to transfer@ecsu.edu with your name, name of the institution where the course was taken, the course ID and course title at the transfer institution, along with a detailed course syllabus.  If you are a currently enrolled student who has already received an official evaluation of transfer credit by the Office Admissions, a Transfer Credit Appeal Form may be submitted.

This information will then be sent to the appropriate department for review. Course evaluations are completed by the academic department responsible for the scope and content of the course content. Once evaluations have been returned from the department, the information will be entered into the database, as appropriate. It is our goal to complete this process as quickly as possible. However, it can take up to several weeks for evaluations to be completed. We ask that you remain patient while waiting for this process to be finalized.
