Welcome to the Division of Business and Finance, ECSU's lead organization for providing continuous business and fiscal support to the university. Our mission is to support the instructional, research and public service activities of the university by delivering key business support services and facilitating sound financial decision-making.

The division consists of five key departments: 1) Business and Finance Administration; 2) Office of the Controller; 3) Budget and Financial Planning; 4) Procurement and Materials Management; and 5) Auxiliary Services, which includes Campus Store, Dining Services, Duplicating Services, University Post Office operations, Venue Reservations, Vending Services, Ticket Office and other ancillary services.

Through the aforementioned departments, Business and Finance provides a range of services to a variety of customers. Student Accounts, a unit within the Office of the Controller, assists students and parents with questions and concerns regarding their tuition and/or student loan accounts. The Budget and Financial Planning Department oversees development of the university's budget, working with faculty and staff in other divisions to evaluate their budget requests as needed. Dining Services offers meal plans, a dining center and other campus eateries for students, faculty and staff. These are just a few of the services offered by our division.

The Division of Business and Finance has four primary goals that guide its daily operation:

• Fiscal Responsibility: Ensure fiscal responsibility through prudent and professional financial management practices;
• Business Process Improvement: Streamline and improve key business processes to achieve optimal efficiency
• Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service to students, parents, faculty and staff. 
• Employee Growth and Development: Grow and develop employees by providing continuous learning opportunities.
