Other Payment Options
Tuition Payment Plan
The Office of Student Accounts offers the 5, 4, or 3 monthly payment plan in order to pay tuition, fees, and room and board in installments. The payment plan must be properly set up online (https://ecsu.afford.com/Home) with Tuition Management Systems directly. Note: there is a $45 semester enrollment fee. In order to determine the amount of your payment plan, you can use the student bill to determine the balance of your account. Since the tuition payment plan is not a loan, there are no interest or finance charges. Payment plans are only used for current semester charges, prior balances must be paid in full before you can start class and cannot be included in your payment plan. If you have questions regarding the Payment Plan please contact Student Accounts at 252-335-3471 or TMS directly at 800-722-4867.

Many private lending institutions offer loans to students and families seeking assistance to meet expenses related to attendance at Elizabeth City State University. These loans require credit checks and may require a co-signer. Eligibility, rates, terms, and conditions may vary.
When choosing a private loan, our office offers these suggestions:
✔ Review the terms of the program carefully and read the fine print
✔Check with the lender for the most current terms and conditions
✔Compare interest rates and adjustments, fees, and repayment terms since these determine the total amount repaid overtime
✔Check for deferred interest and/or principle while enrolled in school
There are many scholarship opportunities available beyond the university. We highly recommend beginning with organizations you may be involved in such as Rotary Clubs, Women’s Clubs, religious organizations, and/or employer benefits (parent and/or student).
