Connecting to the ECSU Wireless Network

 

Viking WiFi offers the high-throughput 802.11ac wireless standard across campus. Availability is included in all classrooms and labs, administrative buildings and offices, the cafeteria and student center, as well as recreational areas.

ECSU students and employees should follow these 2 steps to connect to the Viking wireless network. See the screenshots below for connecting from Windows 10, Apple (Mac OSX) and Android devices.


1.  Search for the WiFi SSID “Viking” from the list of wireless networks shown on your device.

2.  Enter VikingOne username and password and click Join or Connect.


Visit password.ecsu.edu if authentication fails.

Windows 10

Click the wifi icon wireless icon in the taskbar, left of the date and time.  A list of wireless SSIDs are shown.  Choose Viking from this list.

Sign in with your VikingOne username and password. That’s it!

Apple computer (Mac OSX) 

Click the wifi icon wireless icon in the taskbar, left of the date and time.  A drop-down list of wireless SSIDs are shown.  Choose Viking from this list.

Sign in with your VikingOne username and password.  That’s it!

Android

Turn on your WiFi by clicking the wifi icon wireless icon from your mobile device menu by swiping down from the top of your screen.  You should receive a notification that reads “Wi-Fi networks available.”  Click this notification to see a list of the available networks.
