Step 1 :Apply online!
To apply to ECSU, you will need to submit a completed application for fall or spring admission. Learn more about important dates and deadlines.
Step 2: Submit required documentation
- Official copies of all high school and college/university transcripts
- Transcripts should be sent officially to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, signed and sealed, via postal mail. Transcripts can also be sent to admissions@ecsu.edu via an electronic transcript service (i.e. Parchment, E-Script, Student Clearinghouse).
- Standardized Testing Scores (ACT, SAT)
- Scores must be officially reported to ECSU by the testing agency.

Step 3: Click on the email to validate your Viking Admissions Portal account
This account will allow you to:
- Pay the $ 30 application fee through the Viking Admissions Portal or submit application fee waiver.
- Receive up-to-date status regarding your admissions materials
Step 4: Once admited, confirm your enrollment
- All admitted students are asked to confirm plans to enroll by submitting your intent to enroll through the Viking Admissions Portal as soon possible after receiving your official admit letter.
- Be sure to visit the Elizabeth City State University's Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships website for Financial Aid and Scholarship information.
