Empowering Futures Through Strategic Partnerships
Elizabeth City State University’s Aviation Science program is propelled by impactful collaborations that open real-world pathways for our students. From conditional pilot career paths with Delta Air Lines’ Propel program and United’s Aviate program to direct training access through Endeavor Air’s STEP initiative, scholarship support from PSA Airlines, and a fast-track 4+1 master’s pathway with Embry-Riddle, our partners elevate academic excellence, professional opportunity, and leadership in aviation education. Together, we’re charting new skies for tomorrow’s aviators.
- Most secure path – Receive a conditional job offer as a United First Officer upon acceptance into the program and transition to United upon meeting program requirements.
- Hiring priority – Aviate participants are a top priority when filling United new hire classes.
- Travel privileges – Enjoy travel privileges to United destinations around the world.
- Industry-leading technology – Access the industry’s only participant mobile app, My Aviate, to track your progress to United.
- Coaching – Receive mentorship and personalized guidance from active United pilots through our Aviate Coaching program.
- Culture – Build connections with our United team through access to senior leadership, exclusive events and an inside look at our airline.
Your path to a Delta flight deck starts here. The best benefit to the Delta Propel program is its single interview approach where participants only need to interview once with Propel to progress to Endeavor and eventually to mainline Delta. Delta will support you throughout your entire journey with signature events on-campus and at Delta’s World Headquarters to strengthen your industry knowledge and develop leadership skills. To top it off, you will receive personal mentoring from an active Delta pilot.
PSA’s Cadet Program will start your journey to the world’s largest airline, where all you need is a private pilot’s license to apply. A guaranteed direct flow to American Airlines helps foster long-term career growth and stability. This partnership provides opportunities for ECSU students, including scholarships, support for licensing and testing fees, and career pathway presentations.
The RJet Cadet Program allows ECSU graduates to transition to Republic Airways as first officers. In September 2023, Republic Airways contributed $15,000 to ECSU to support scholarships and expenses, including check ride and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) examination costs for students in the Aviation Sciences program.
JetBlue Gateways is a industry-leading career development program that open the door for ECSU students to pursue a path to a pilot position at JetBlue. Gateways provide access for those who’ve dreamed but never had the opportunity to pursue a highly-skilled career in the aviation industry.
Student to Endeavor Pilot (STEP) program – Aviation students at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) with aspirations of becoming a pilot now have an opportunity to learn directly from experts from Endeavor Air. Designed to help prepare aviation students and flight instructors for successful careers as pilots in the airline industry, the STEP program will bring Endeavor Air personnel to campus regularly to give presentations, answer questions, and conduct on-site interviews when the students and flight instructors are ready for the next phase of their preparation.
