Chancellor's Ambassadors


The Chancellor’s Ambassadors program is a new and exciting opportunity for students at Elizabeth City State University to promote Viking Pride on and off campus by assisting the Office of the Chancellor at selected university events and networking with prominent ECSU alumni and community leaders.

A Chancellor’s Ambassador is a difference maker, a big-idea thinker, a change agent and long-lasting leader. A Chancellor’s Ambassador values integrity, accountability, diversity, and excellence. A Chancellor’s Ambassador respects the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of ECSU and represents the best of the very best at university-wide events.

Chancellor’s Ambassadors will serve as the official host of Elizabeth City State University during special functions with the Chancellor’s Office, and welcome the academic, business, government, and social leaders that visit the institution. Students in this program will contribute to important projects and strategic initiatives for the Office of the Chancellor, and receive hands-on experience in a unique, fast-paced environment.

Primary duties and services include working with the Office of the Chancellor, planning student service projects with the surrounding community, and volunteering their time and energy needed to promote, serve, and proudly represent an excellent university. Students accepted into this program will participate in personal growth and professional development opportunities, as well as leadership and team building exercises.
