Students with Disabilities
In accordance with section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and American with Disabilities Act 1990 (ADA), Elizabeth City State University offers services through its Center for Special Needs Students.
Students seeking reasonable accommodations must notify the University.
The Office of Disability Services provides resources and assistaive tools neccessary to successfuly navigate your time at ECSU. The Student Data Sheets are distributed to transfer and Freshman Students during New Student Orientation. Students must submit completed forms to the Office's Coordinator and also provide current documentation of their disability. Documentation may include results of medical or psychological diagnostic tests or other professional evaluations that verify the existence of a disability and need for accommodations. It is the student's responsibility to provide all costs in connection with obtaining the necessary documentation.
