Bio
For over 20 years, Ms. Cole has served students in various capacities ranging from middle and high school math
teacher to higher education middle management with the NC Community College system.
Continuing her passion for student success, her most recent employment was with Elizabeth
City State University as an academic advisor. After numerous years of guiding diverse
student populations, assisting them with academic plans and progress, she joined ECSU’s
Career Development team as one of the new Career Development advisors. Her passion
is to help ECSU students explore career options and teach them the process of searching
for an internship, a future career or completing their educational goal. In her capacity
as a career advisor, she is excited to assist with administering career assessments,
teaching individuals and groups how to write a resume, interview for jobs, or work
towards their future goal after graduation.
Ms. Cole is a proud ECSU alum twice. She is a 2021 graduate of Elizabeth City State University
with a Master of Science in Mathematics, a 2008 graduate of Capella University with
a Master of Science in Education, specialization in Leadership for Higher Education,
and a graduate of Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial
Technology with a concentration in Mechanical Power. She was named a favorite staff
member during her initial year of employment at ECSU. She enjoys seeing students’
growth and loves to be able to promote the success of others.
