Welcome to the Elizabeth City State University Staff Senate website! The Staff Senate serves as an advisory body to the university Chancellor on issues of importance to SHRA and non-administrative EHRA non-faculty employees. Since its inception in 1998, the goal of the Staff Senate has been to be “the voice of the people” we serve. Under the leadership of UNC System President Peter Hans, the Senates of all the constituent institutions have been given a combined voice known as the UNC Staff Assembly. In addition to presiding at all meetings of the Senate, I represent the Staff Senate by serving as a liaison to the Chancellor, Administrative Council, the Board of Trustees, the Faculty Senate, and the Student Government Association and as a member of the UNC Staff Assembly. Communication to the membership is achieved through the senators who represent all areas of the university community. This web page has been set up to further enhance our efforts to keep you informed about matters of interest, and also provide a means for you to let us know how we can be of assistance to you.
