Your Journey Isn’t Over — Return to ECSU.
Readmitted Students
If you previously attended ECSU and paused your studies, we’re ready to welcome you back. Our readmission process helps you pick up where you left off and continue working toward your degree.
Who Should Apply for Readmission?
This option is for students who:
- Previously enrolled at ECSU as a degree-seeking student
- Have not been enrolled for one or more semesters
- Want to return and complete their degree
If you attended another college while away, your coursework may be evaluated for transfer credit.
- Step 1: Submit the Readmission Application
- Step 2: Submit Transcripts (If Applicable)
- Step 3: Meet with an Academic Advisor
Complete the application for admission and submit the $30 application fee.

If you completed coursework at another college or university while away from ECSU, you must submit official transcripts for evaluation.
Admissions will review your transcripts to determine transfer credit eligibility.
Once your application is processed:
- Connect with an Academic Advisor
- Review your degree progress
- Plan your course schedule
Your advisor will help you map out the quickest path to completing your degree.
Returning After Academic Suspension
Students who left ECSU due to academic suspension may still apply for readmission.
In some cases, students may qualify for special readmission options that allow them to restart with updated academic standing after being away for a period of time.
Admissions and the Registrar’s Office can guide you through the appropriate process.
After You're Readmitted
Once readmitted, you may need to complete additional enrollment steps such as:
- Updating immunization records
- Accessing your ECSU email account
- Getting your Viking ID
- Registering for classes
Students returning after six months or more may need updated immunization documentation.
