Dr. Stephanie D.B. Johnson was re-elected as chair of the Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) Board of Trustees. Trustee Johnny Tillett was elected vice chair, and Trustee Phyllis N. Bosomworth was elected secretary.
“These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the ECSU Board of Trustees,” said ECSU Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon. “We are grateful for their service, and I look forward to working alongside them in the coming year."
Johnson, a 1974 ECSU graduate, is a mentor for the National Association of Elementary School Principals and an adjunct professor at Hampton University. She has a Master of Science in Elementary Education and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University. She also earned a Doctor of Administration and Policy from George Washington University.
Tillett is senior vice president for State Government Relations at McGuireWoods Consulting LLC. He specializes in energy and utilities, healthcare, environmental interest, transportation, and education for the firm.
Bosomworth is a Political Science graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. She is a real estate industry leader throughout Northeastern North Carolina, working as a certified residential specialist, certified brokerage manager, accredited buyer representative, and senior real estate specialist.
